We are 3 moms dropping our sons off at lacrosse camp and staying 4 nights somewhere in the Charlotte area. We are looking into a suite type hotel since one of the moms is an early riser and the others like to stay up late. We would like to stay somewhere safe to walk around, find some good places to eat and shop. We will have a car available. Any suggestions?? Under $125.00 a night would be great.
Suggestions for suite type hotel for 3 moms??
Check exit 25 off of I-77. Birkdale Village for shopping, dining. Several hotels on the exit.
Concord Mills Blvd / Bruton Smith Blvd exit 49 (I think) off of I-85. Lots of hotels, restaurants and Concord Mills Mall for shopping.

Hey there kimr3boyz - just a suggestion but Charlotte is a little more spread out than Anaheim (I use to live near Anaheim) so if you happen to know the lacrosse camp location that might be helpful on suggesting a place to stay for you and the other moms.
It%26#39;s in Salisbury, but we thought there would be more to do closer to Charlotte. My friends want to be able to leave the hotel and walk to a coffee place in the morning or walk to an area for a dinner or two.
I am afraid I am not going to be much help on that part of town (Salisbury). But if you don%26#39;t mind a little drive (apx. 40/45 mins. not including traffic) then I would go along with the suggestions of the poster above (Birkdale Village, and or Concord area) or another quaint town for dining and shopping is Davidson, NC.
Or heck you could just head up the other direction (towards Yadkin) from Salisbury and hit the wineries (then the early riser might not be such an early riser anymore and the need for a suite would be no more) - just kidding :)
Salisbury is one of my favorite towns. Neat downtown area and turn of the century homes (or older). However, if you are not into that and antiques, probably not for you.
Speedway Blvd (Concord) and Birkdale Village (Huntersville) are good suggestions, but from hotels to shopping not very pedestrian friendly.
If you still want to stay in Charlotte, DoubleTree Guest Suites in South Park is a great choice. Large suites with full kitchen...mall right beside hotel...lots of other shopping and resturants you can walk to.
A few friends recently stayed at the Embassy Suites in Concord and had nothing but good things to say about it. You%26#39;d probably have to drive to restaurants, shopping, etc but it is all very close to the hotel. It has a very pleasant lobby with breakfast buffet for the early risers, too.
Have a nice trip!
Residence Inn Charlotte Uptown next to the Carolina Panthers stadium is a great place to stay. Large suites include full kitchens, free full breakfast buffet each day and managers social reception Monday thru Thursday nights with free beer wine and food. Walking distance to all the uptown restaurants, bars, coffee houses. They even have a free shuttle service in the uptown area. Great staff, just off Exit 10 from I-77. They offer length of stay discounts.
