We%26#39;re staying a the Sea Trail Resort next weekend. We need 2 restaurants we can go Friday and Saturday. I will say that we%26#39;re more into grilled/broiled seafood. I hear Calabash has a lot of fried seafood? We are not looking to spend more than $30-40 per dinner. It%26#39;s our first time coming to the area and want some ideas to go on. We also would like to know where the closest beach is. We want something not too crowded and clean!
Restaurant Recommendation?
The closest beach is Sunset beach. This is a really nice beach with free parking. While they don%26#39;t have lifeguards, they have a beach patrol that rides around. Be careful not to cross at the top of each hour because they close the bridge for boat traffic. As for restaurants North Myrtle and Myrtle beach have plenty of places to chose from. Look on their chamber of commerce websites and click on links to each restaurant. Most give menus and prices on their sites.
Restaurant Recommendation?
We ate at Ella%26#39;s in Calabash last year. The dinners were around $12 each, and they were lightly battered and fried. I do think you can request any of the seafood broiled though. Check out their website, just google Ella%26#39;s Calabash North Carolina.
Definitely the ';Seafood Hut'; is the place to eat for flavor, portions %26amp; value but go early to avoid the long waiting line.
