Biltmore pet friendly?

I was wondering how pet friendly the Biltmore Estates are? I have read that dogs may be on the grounds. Is this worth the money? Any other pet frindly suggestions for the area? Thanks.

We are about 20 minutes south of Asheville at a pet friendly resort called Barkwells. There are 6 cabins on 7 fenced acres and every cabin has at least one dog in it. We are close enough to Asheville and Hendersonville, yet in a quiet wooded area. We (myself, husband, and pug) are loving it here and will hate to leave for home on Friday. Check out Barkwells at www.barkwells.com.

If you like a good hike I would suggest Chimney Rock Park (about 30 minute drive south of Ashville). If you are familiar with the movie Last of the Mohicans they filmed parts of the movie there. A small fee to enter the park and I mean it when I say a hike but if you go to the top the views are amazing! There is an elevator, but dogs aren%26#39;t allowed on that part. We had a great time with our dogs there last year. I think they also have special dog days during the year too. Check out their website: www.chimneyrockpark.com

Wow....sounds great...thanks alot.
