i am new to trip advisor. i heard about it from a friend. however, i have already booked through surf or sound realty prior to reading the forums. it has made me very nervous about our vacation in july. has anyone stayed at dakota dunes recently??? i was just wondering if the house is anything like the photos? if anyone has any info about this house and has any suggestions of what we need to watch out for please please please let me know. thank you

You hear many people complain but seldom do you hear the good news because only the negative people feel it necessary to voice their opinions over and over about an experience they had 27 years ago. S%26amp;S has been around a good while and they are nice folks trying to make you happy so you come back. You can not please everyone every time. Relax

thank you so much. i was just looking for something positive. we have vacationed at the outer banks for the past two years. however, this is the first time we have used surf or sound realty. we love it there. thanks again

Two years ago, we rented from Surf or Sound, and we rented from them again this summer. My sister-in-law makes the reservations, so we just go along with whatever she chooses. The only problem we had with our previous rental was an intermittent problem with the elevator. Otherwise, everything was fine. The house looked like the photos posted on the internet. I hope it%26#39;s the same this year - we%26#39;ll be there next weekend. I plan to take a good look around when we arrive, and call the rental place immediately if anything is wrong. Other than that, I%26#39;m not going to worry about it.
