location and hotel recommendations please

hi everyone,

i am in my late 20%26#39;s trying to plan a trip for myself, my mother, and my college aged sibling and high school aged sibling. we wanted to find a nice hotel located on the beach that also has a nice pool.

we are looking for a place to stay about 3 nights during the week.

ideally we would want a suite so we can all stay in the same room, but would be willing to book two rooms as needed.

1. is there a particular areas in outer banks you would recommend? want to be located close to restaurants, shopping, attractions if possible.

2. located on beach with pool

3. nice room, ideally a suite for 4-5 people if possible.

4. i looked at beach rentals, but all seem to be for 1 week - which is more than we wanted to book.

Any hotel/motel will be in an area near restaurants and shopping.

Hilton Inn - Kitty Hawk

Ramada Inn - KDH

Comfort Inn - KDH

Colony IV- (KDH) no restaurant in it but several across the street.

Best Western - KDH

Nags Head Inn - Nags Head

Just to name a few that are oceanfront.

We stayed in the Best Western Ocean Reef Suites in Kill Devil Hills last month. Our suite had a king bed, a single Murphy bed (comes down out of a wall cabinet) and I believe the sofa was a sleeper. The hotel was clean, breakfast is included, and there is a pool. The hotel is oceanfront; if you want to see the ocean, you must be on the 3rd, 4th, or 5th floors. The hotel is in a very central location. Stop and Shop across the street has a bit of everything!
