Great Places to eat...South Nag's Head

We are heading down this weekend for our annual girl%26#39;s weekend and are looking for a great restaurant for dinner. We are renting a house at milepost 19.5. Price isn%26#39;t that much of an issue, but we want some great local seafood.

Our favorite breakfast and lunch places are Sam and Omies and the Dune Burger. Please help us....

Owens%26#39; Restaurant and Tale of the Whale are both winners in my book. We always have at least one dinner at Owens%26#39;.

If you want a great meal in S. Nags Head and price isn%26#39;t an issue than I second Owens.

Tale of the Whale and Lone Cedar on the Causeway are also both good restaurants.

Also, I haven%26#39;t been for lunch or dinner yet but The Dunes has re-opened with a brand new look. I went for breakfast and really enjoyed it. The restaurant%26#39;s facelift is really nice.

We had excellent meals at Flying Fish Cafe%26#39; and Tale of the Whale.

We enjoy Tale of the Whale also.

Tail is good, I asked the owners the other day if the shrimp was local and I got the no head shake. She said they just aren%26#39;t as good right now. Local shrimp is better later in the season I guess, but I am telling you the fried shrimp is very good. Flying Fish is also another favorite and Owens is always good. Any of the three is going to make you happy.
