What to do for a night in Charlotte

Hi - We will land in Charlotte for a Saturday evening around 8:30 p.m. and spend the night here. Is there anything we can do that evening? Any restaurants that are open or nightlife?

Thanks!

Charlotte is a big place with lots of choices. Where are you staying and what do you want to do?

We will be around the airport and don%26#39;t mind renting a car or taxi. Maybe a nice dinner somewhere that is still open and somewhere to walk around a bit.

Don%26#39;t walk anywhere around the airport after dark - for that matter be very careful walking outside after dark anywhere in Charlotte. Areas of town with good restaurant concentrations not too far from the airport would be Southpark, Dilworth, and Uptown. If you go to Dilworth- be careful- adjoining neighborhood crime sometimes spills over. Fine tune what you want for a meal - you want IHOP type food, nice gourmet,Cheesecake Factory type,Italian, Chinese, steak?.... my initial advice is head toward Southpark for dining...but - you%26#39;ll be 10:00 or so before you can get there I would think...need to see who is open late....I%26#39;m sure others will come by with suggestions...see if you can fine-tune your likes and dislikes.

It has 360 views and hours for restaurants in the areas I mentioned.

Thanks!

A few places we really like over near Southpark are PF Changs, Cheesecake Factory, Village Tavern. Uptown you can try out Cosmos or Rock Bottoms... =)

If you do decide to go uptown we always park at 7th Street Station on 6th and 7th streets. You can park at this parking deck and walk just about to everything, it%26#39;s very central. There will be tons of people out and about on a Saturday night at that time...and there are tons of places to choose from from dinner to bars to clubs.

Stay Uptown. Thats where the most nightlife is. Bar Hopping at Epicenter or Tryon street. A lot of hotels have free shuttle service uptown. You can take bus from airport for like $2 and not have to pay for rental car or parking. Residence Inn has a great free breakfast included with room rate and free uptown shuttle. Hilton Garden and Hampton have shuttle too. CHeck out the Epicenter and nightlife on Tryon and COllege Streets.

Pool, Music, Bars, Restaurtants, Bowling, and Movies.
