Questions about Market Place Restaurant

Anyone have an opinion about this restaurant? I%26#39;ve looked at the menu, and it looks great. How is the quality of the food? The service? Just as a point of reference, we%26#39;ve tried and loved Table, Rezaz, Limone%26#39;s, 12 Bones, Tupelo Honey Cafe, and Early Girl Eatery. Thanks for your input!

Questions about Market Place Restaurant

Market Place on Wall St (near Early Girl) has been a staple of the Asheville restaurant scene for years. Its owner, Mark Rosenstein, is very active in the locally grown food movement and so you would see many local offerings or ingredients on his menu. I have been several times and enjoyed it, though service at times is a bit uneven and while some dishes are stellar, others miss the mark. Like any restaurant, while the menu may look good, a bad chef or a bad day may nullify that. Also, poor front of the house may affect service quality. I would think food and service wise you should find MP on par w/ Table, Rezaz or Limone%26#39;s.

You have certainly enjoyed some great restaurants while in Asheville. Market Place is good and I think based upon your other experiences you will enjoy this as well.
