Back Porch Restaurant

I%26#39;ve been trying to decide whether to try the Back Porch Restaurant on my next trip to Ocracoke. Has anyone been recently? How was the experience? Are there any particular dishes worth trying? Thanks for your help! :) P.S. Has anyone tried Dajio?

Back Porch Restaurant

We just returned from two weeks at Ocracoke and we always go to the Back Porch. I would suggest looking at the menu and if the items you see sound appealing, give it a try. The food is quite good, I do find the menu a little limited (compared to say Cafe Atlantic) but everything I have ever eaten there has been good. I am very fond of the fried shrimp, poke and the filet with blue cheese butter is very good also!

Dajio opened a few nights before we left and we did not try it. I am not fond of going to a restaurant the first few weeks they are open. I hope it does turn out to be good as I think the facility (once cleaned up) could be a great spot. They worked very hard it seemed to clean everything up before they opened. If you do try it, give us a review!

Back Porch Restaurant

We went to the Back Porch for our anniversary two years ago - it was fantastic. All of the restaurants on the island have their menus posted outside - you can walk around earlier in the day and find one that suits your tastes. Have fun!
